››  Our Purpose:

The Collins Gamers Club was created to promote and connect gamers at Collins Aerospace. Eligible club members are employees, contractors, families, friends, retirees, and former employees.

The primary games covered by the club are modern board and card games, usually found on boardgamegeek. The club also covers classic board and card games, collectible card games, miniature games, and role playing games.

Use the club's games library or bring your own games. To see what the club has been playing, check out their played games.

The games club also discusses and coordinates games outside of the weekly games night in their Collins Gamers Club Facebook group.

›› Time

The club meets every Thursday (except during company shutdowns) for games night starting at 5:30 PM. Filler (short) games are played from 5:30-6:00 while people arrive, then members move to longer games after 6:00. Gaming will finish usually between 8-9:00 PM or when members' games end.

›› Location

Building 120 Cafeteria, which is located at northeast of C Ave and Collins Rd intersection, using either the south, north, or west entrances. The cafeteria is in the northwest of the building. Cafeteria phone number is 319-295-2478 (during club meetings.)

NOTE--Some weeks the 120 Cafeteria is unavailable. The club typically meets at the Ash Conference Room in Building 131 as a backup location. Please sign up to be on the e-mail list or join the Collins Gamers Club Facebook group for notices of room changes.

›› Access for Non-employees/contractors

People (16+ years old) who attend without an employee/contractor access badge will need to enter through the Building 120 South Entrance, have an employee escort, check in at the guard station with an ID, and receive a visitor badge. The guard will be present between 5:30-5:45. Please enter your information at Collins SAFE visit page. Children under 16 years old are not required to check in at the guard entrance.

›› Bimonthly Pizza Party!

The Gamers Club hosts a pizza party on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. (Bring your own non-alcoholic drink.) If you bring your own food on any Thursday, please ensure it's "game friendly" to not damage the games. "Game Friendly" means foods which aren't messy or will leave residue on your fingers.

›› OPTIONAL Dues

The Collins Gamers Club collects yearly OPTIONAL dues of $20. Collins Aerospace will also match employee paid dues as well. Dues collected by the club fund the club's game library and the monthly pizza party. Dues are optional and not required to participate in the weekly games night or the Collins Gamers Club Facebook group.
